In just 90 days, revolutionizing grocery and shopping experiences in Saudi Arabia! We're undertaking a complete transformation project and UI redesign for a previously outdated app acquired by Panda, all on a tight timeline.
Adding numerous new services and features, following a design system and scalable framework, in both Arabic and English, for iOS and Android platforms.
This project is part of a competitive race among the leading supermarket retailers in KSA, striving to pioneer Scan and Go technology and Western-style shopping elegance in the Middle East
The solution
My design direction aimed to craft an elegant, enjoyable, and functional UI, seamlessly delivering the convenience of online shopping to users with specific needs and preferences.
I meticulously assessed both user and business requirements to establish a robust framework capable of addressing any evolving challenges arising from the global changes and adaptations induced by the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in countries like KSA.
The objective was to develop a fully accessible UI aligned with the planned UX and incorporating all retail platform best practices of 2020.
The result is a platform characterised by exceptional functionality and intelligent touch-points, empowering users to seamlessly navigate between services, consolidate payments across multiple services into a single basket, select various delivery options tailored to their location, and engage in safe shopping experiences both online and offline, with minimal physical interactions.

The result
Delivered within 90 days, our first-to-market launch occurred in just 180 days.
Since the start of 2021, my UI and design system have been the flagship for Panda Retail Company, gaining news coverage and digital recognition. Contractors with over 10 years of experience contributed to the project's success.
Client feedback indicates a significant increase in user engagement and revenue across all channels, positioning Panda for continued growth. This project also served as a mentoring opportunity, empowering the Panda team in KSA to manage and update the platform effectively.
