Transforming MVC’s Digital Experience: My Multi-Year Journey in Optimising High-Traffic Challenges and Boosting Conversion Rates

The Solution

Tasked on leading the UX Strategy of this project, the challenge was to “Analyse, prioritise, and deliver” clear next steps and a set of solutions for both the UX/Ui principles being applied together with a road map to addressing the primary challenges for this client: High Traffic point, High Bounce Rate, Low Conversion.
Unless you present a clear consistent plan, there is always the risk your suggestions will just get left in some executive’s to-do list purgatory. In this particular task, I followed a light & lean approach to fit a tighter budget and timeline.
By placing the user at the core and understanding the usability and visual issues of this project, we can confidently move forward to designing a perfectly balanced strategy while always keeping a focus on the bigger picture. Beyond fixing glaring issues, you also want to reveal new opportunities for conversion and engagement.

Result

  • Delivered in stages to A-B test in small groups. The new improved UX/UI was ready to work across all 8 languages, regions & categories MVC covered.
  • A UX/UI that allows MVC the ability to leverage white-labeling opportunities. (This was also the same Framework purchased by The Sun for their Vouchercode platform)
  • 6 months after completing my Ux/Ui delivery for this project and launch of the new mobile-first, MyVouchercodes.co.uk quickly rose from the 4th to the 2nd most popular voucher platform in the UK, with a 34.3% uplift.
  • 8 months after launch the MyVouchercodes.co.uk was purchased by GoCompare for £35.7million, which was for many reasons an indication of the success of this transformation project.
